distressed My dear little cat, Timmie, passed away today. She was 16-years-old. She was with me through some of the toughest years of my life, and I'm going to miss her so very much.
I'd taken Timmie to the vet less than 2 weeks ago because of her weight loss. But there was little that could be done for her. So I brought her home, knowing that I'd never be ready to let her go, but that she'd know when it was time for her to go.
Timmie collapsed in the yard today and I got a phone call at work from my distraught mother. By the time I got home, it was clear Timmie was dying. I phoned my ex and together we took her to the vet.
Timmie, you were a wonderful cat and companion. I'm going to miss you forever and remember you always.

The relationship we have with our animal companions is so special.
I'm sure Timmie found great comfort in her last days just knowing she was loved and treasured by you.

So sorry for your loss....losing a treasured pet can be so hard.
